Stylus with style, 15 Nov 2011

Fed up with fingermarks and smears on the glossy screen of my Blackberry Playbook, I bought this stylus. I am not disappointed. The tip is soft and produces a quick and positive response on the Playbook. I like the spongy feel of the tip when I apply a little pressure on the screen. It takes a little getting used to dragging it across the screen to simulate finger swipes, but it works well once the technique is mastered.

The plug to fit the headphone jack is a nice touch, and I have already fashioned a holder from black duct tape on the Playbook case (and it actually looks OK!) so the stylus sits nicely on the side like a diary pen.

I have only just acquired these and have yet to see how long lasting they are -mindful of other reviews of similar products. I will update this review if there is anything more to add.

Very good value indeed when bought as a twin-pack, and I can't see that more expensive products could offer more (longevity excepted!)

Update... one day later.

I have lost one of the two styli to my daughter for her Samsung Galaxy S2 phone and my partner has tried one on her Nokia N97 mini phone and loves it. I am now going back to order another pair. Under orders! I think this speaks for itself about the neatness and functionality of this product. As above, I will watch out for longevity issues and report back.

Still doing fine. No loss of function in any way. Quite robust, no problems. Can't ask for anything more.

Ten months later, still happy with this.

I was challenged (see posts) by a fan of a rival stylus -New Trent Limir Stylus/Styli Touch Screen Cell phone Tablet Pen Champa Dual-Purpose with Micro-Knit Technology Capacitive Stylus and Fine Ball Pen IMP62B for iPhone 4 4s iPod touch iPad 2 Samsung Galaxy Motorola Xoom Blackberry Playbook, Barnes and Nobl... which I gave a fair trial to for a couple of months. In the end I have returned to this humble rubber-tipped pen, which I find no harder to drag across the screen (though there is resistance -but but it is not a problem), but more accurate. The increased friction on the end is in fact an advantage in that the tip does not slip off small target areas on the screen, So sorry A Sullivan, but I will be sticking with these cheap and cheerful but very effective styli.

Stylus pens, 29 Dec 2011

I suffer from rheumatoid arthritis and find the stylus pen a very good way of running both my I pod and I pad. The pen gives precision which I could otherwise not obtain. These pens are affordable and of good quality. I find that even the expensive offerings only last about a month and these are just s good. Recommended to both people with hand disabilities and without.

Have just promptly recieved the pens within a few days for my Samsung Ace mobile and they work really well.I can recommend these if you are writing e'mails etc where the querty keyboard is a little small for big fingers.Good price & well chuffed with the product! Phil.
