Strictly’s Kelvin Fletcher admits he’s resorted to SICKNESS TABLETS to cope with the endless spins as he rehearses the Viennese Waltz

Strictly Come Dancing star Kelvin Fletcher has revealed he’s resorted to sickness tablets after struggling to cope with the endless spins in the elegant Viennese Waltz.

Speaking on the show’s official podcast, the Emmerdale star, 35, said that during the first day of training for the dance with Oti Mabuse, the constant spinning for the dance left him feeling ill.

Kelvin is one of the front runners for this year’s Strictly with his professional partner Oti, and finished in a solid second place on the leaderboard following last week’s Halloween special.

Offering an insight into training for the intricate ballroom dance, Kelvin said: ‘I was sick for the first time on Monday. That has always been my biggest fear with anything ballroom. With the waltz, especially the Viennese Waltz , it looks so beautiful and effortless and flows.

‘But the spins, they look so stunning but I fear them because the minute I start spinning my head goes and on Monday I was in the toilet and it wasn’t pretty.’

Kelvin went onto say that fellow contestant Mike Bushell suggested some motion sickness tables to cope with the dramatic spins.

He said: ‘Travel sickness tablets. Mike mentioned that I should take them. I might have to give that a go.’

Despite the sickness struggles, Kelvin will still be taking to the floor with Oti to perform the Viennese Waltz to Say Something by A Great Big World and Christina Aguilera.

Kelvin was a last-minute addition to the Strictly lineup after Made In Chelsea star Jamie Laing was forced to pull out of the show with a foot injury.

The soap star has stunned viewers with his incredible moves, and earned the first tens of the series during Movie Week with a blockbuster Charleston.

Their outing comes after Kelvin shirked off any ‘Strictly curse’ rumours with Oti as he shared a sweet photo of his wife Liz and 10-month-old son Milo.

The actor praised his childhood sweetheart in the caption as he called her a ‘wonder woman’ followed by a heart emoji.

In the sweet snap, Liz looked radiant as she beamed to the camera in a white jumper while Milo, who wore an adorable red hoodie and star bib, smiled too.

Kelvin’s 231,000 followers were quick to react to the post with Michelle Keegan sharing a heart and heart eyes emoji while Oti’s sister Motsi Mabuse, who is a judge on Strictly, posted two hearts underneath.
