Took a while to update, but works. Walked the dog to test it on 4G and works like a treat. I cross compared the stats with the official meater branded one (my brothers that is still working after 3 years) and data in the chicken in the bbq was the same. Let's see how long it lasts but all good for now and half the price!

The first few times I used this, the connection kept dropping out, and you have to take the probe out of the joint and put it back in the cradle to reconnect. I was on the verge of sending it back, but eventually realised that the microwave disrupts Bluetooth connectivity. Since then I’ve tried to avoid using both at the same time and have had no further problems, but a warning of this in the instructions would have been helpful.

I bought this to use on Christmas day. I tried it out twice before hand and simply couldnt get the app to work......thinking I was the non technical idiot, on Christmas day asked my very savvy son in law to set it up and he couldn't either- which is really saying something. As it has been poked into 3 different meats I cannot return it. DO NOT BUY this product its the biggest waste of £50 I have ever made and I am livid.

This just works. And it works really well. Very simple to set up and use. The only minor niggle is that you can't force the app to keep the phone on. It would be nice to put my phone in a cradle and have it permanently showing progress. But I'm not deducting any stats for that. Well made, durable, works really well and the temperature matches with other thermometers that I use.

Works perfect but fails on chicken. Chicken never fully cooks... either im not placing the probe correctly or it just does like chicken. I do still highly recomend especialy when cooking expensive meats or large silverside beef or ham.

Ich habe meine ursprüngliche Rezension jetzt auf 5 Sterne geändert. Der Hersteller hat sich mit mir in Verbindung gesetzt und mir ein neues Thermometer zugeschickt. Ich bekam den Hinweis, die neueste Firmware zu installieren. Dies funktionierte problemlos über die App. Nach dem Firmware Update funktioniert das Thermometer einwandfrei und es macht genau das, was ich erwartet habe. Die App könnte man noch verbessern. Sie sollte prüfen, ob auf dem Thermometer die aktuelle Firmware installiert ist. Ursprüngliche Rezension: Über Bluetooth funktioniert die Anzeige einwandfrei. Leider nicht über WiFi. Wegen WiFi habe ich mir aber das Thermometer zugelegt, weil ich über eine größere Entfernung die Anzeige brauche. Über WiFi wird die Anzeige nur alle 20 bis 30 Minuten aktualisiert, obwohl eine stabile Verbindung bestand. Da kann man natürlich kein Fleisch auf den Punkt bekommen. Ich habe mehrmals versucht mit dem Hersteller Kontakt aufzunehmen, vielleicht war es ja ein Bedienfehler, leider hat er nie geantwortet. Deshalb habe ich es auch wieder zurückgeschickt.
