Another brilliant bit of kit from Tecmojo. A 6u rack that is great for small setups or just to house a few edge switches on a floor. Easy to use and put together, a solid piece of kit. Im currently using it in my garage to house my data switches for my home network. I like the swing door function so you can swing the unit out and get to the back of the rack.

Another nice bit of kit from Tecmojo. This 6U wall mount rack is perfect for small comms rooms, or mounting devices in shared spaces. The quality is first rate, with a lovely powder-coat black finish. As with all (?) Tecmojo equipment, the rack comes with a selection of hardware, including cage nuts & screws and cable ties - always a nice touch to have these included. There's also a handy template for drilling mounting holes. The real genius here is the swing-gate opening. Working on kit in small racks is usually a PITA, especially as they're often installed in small rooms high up on the wall. The swing-open front of this rack simplifies things enormously. As always, when ordering racks, carefully check the depth of the equipment you're installing, before ordering.

Assembling this is pretty straightforward, though with the weight of the parts, you really need to make sure you have a suitable space. I had a small problem with one of the screw holes being too off-centre to get a screw through. Luckily it was a part that was already secured by three screws, so I left this one out. Also, on one part the pant was a little spattered, leading to a scrape when closing the door. Neither of these things are a big deal though. This a really well-designed and well-made unit. The hinged door is great, because on a wall-mount unit, it's really hard to get access to rear cabling. Slipping the door open gives access to the back very easily. The solid steel construction of this rack is very appealing and it really feels secure. Nice black finish too. And I was very glad of all the accessories - plenty of bolts and cage nuts. That might seem trivial, but the costs of these little extras can really add up, so I was delighted to have so many included.

Too often these racks are really hard to access when something isn't working or needs something changed. This solves the problem by making the front part hinged. It is actually possible to change the side from which is swings just be pulling separate spring loaded pins. Each part is really well made, with a great finish and very sturdy construction. The design does limit what you can have running in it because there are no rear mounts, and there needs to be space to swing open. However those aren't complaints about the product, just observations to be aware of. This is a great small easily services comms rack.

I was quite pleasantly surprised when I received this product that it is already partially assembled and only requires a few screws in order to finalize this. Each of the different screw sizes comes in its own labeled ziplock bag which made things very easy. It took me about 10 minutes to put it together and required a screwdriver only. The front panel swings out from either side meaning that it is easy to access the back of your patch panels after install which is a great feature. The product is extremely robust and well manufactured which I was pleased to see given that it is a cantilever/wall mount design meaning that it will be under quite a bit of stress when fully loaded. The welding was all very neat and it really does feel like it will last a long time. It comes with a handy cardboard mounting template for putting it up as well as concrete rawl plug connectors. Given the weight of this rack empty, never mind fully loaded, it will need to be secured onto studs at a minimum, but ideally a concrete or brick wall. If you're looking for a wall mounted network rack then this one is definitely a great choice, recommended.
