Price - It does cost a bit, but when you put it in perspective, it's priced about right; G2 Omnicept £1250, Varjo Aero ~£3000 (Including base stations, controllers, headphones, Import tax) HTC Focus 3 £1300 HTC Vive Pro 2 Kit £1300 Valve Index Kit £919 Most of the above are not standalone, and some don't have eye tracking and all the other sensors like the Quest Pro has. Resolution - This is where there is a lot of misconception! Quest 2 use a single panel, Quest Pro uses two panels that move with the lens stack, so you get MORE visible pixels, which increases the Pixels per degree, giving you better image quailty, and superb clarity, so overall you get a higher visible resolution. Lenses - This is truly next gen VR, edge to edge clarity, no god rays. being able to look any direction with your eyes and have clear clarity is something Fresnel lenses can't do. These are the best Lenese on any HMD right now. SDE - If you look for it, you can see it, more so on white back grounds. but this is nothing like the Rift S, Valve Index. Fresnel lenses did a good job hiding it with the Quest 2, but with the clarity of the Pancake lenses, it has made it more pronounced. That said, playing PCVR games, you won't notice it. PCVR - I've owned many headsets over the years from the CV1, Samsung, Revrb G1, G2 v1, Quest 2, Pico 4. I have to say, out of all those HMD's, the Quest Pro is a massive step up in clarity. Even people with HTC Vive Pro 2 and Focus 3 and Varjo Aero have came forward in a forum I use, and have stated how resolution is not everything, and how they are blown away with the clarity of the Quest pro. It is truly awesome, especally when we crank the settings up. Turning the render resolution up to 1.7x, using Oculus Debug Tool, and setting encode width to 3616, and bit rate to 500Mbps, really makes the Quest Pro shine by hiding compression, and giving objects in the distance a sharper clarity, making it easier to read marker boards in the likes of sim racing etc. Now as I own a 4090, these setting are playable at 90FPS and high settings in the likes of DCS. ACC Epic VR, which just look incredible! MSFS Ultra settings plus 1.7x render resolution plays at a solid 45FPS with ASW, and is also incredible how that looks and feels. Controllers - Well lets just make it clear, as good as the CV1 Touch controllers, and Valve Index controllers at tracking, with a premium feel and great haptics. Comfort - Is hit and miss depending on your head shape. It is well balanced, and fits my head nicely. FOV - I have a IPD of 67mm using the FOV app, I see 104 degrees, push my eyes closer, and I get 106. Conclusion - After many hours with this HMD, I am keeping it as my go to PCVR HMD, it truly is a next gen experience. I have Videos through the lenses of the Quest Pro with on my YouTube Channel playing PCVR maxed settings, with a 4090, just search user TG Pips.

Excellent headset, I also have the quest 3 which is excellent, the QPro is now my daily go to device. The display on the Q Pro is quality with no SDE, resolution is lower then the Q3 but the contrast and colours make it look great. Note in apps not optimised to lower black levels like bigscreen & netflex results in bright reflections which make the lenses look like thay are foggy on the QPro in dark parts of films, but its also a problem on the Q3. Tip lower the brightness to 60% on the QPro makes a big difference and the screen is still bright. Sound is not as loud as Q3 but only slightly and is very immerse and excellent quality. Pass through is is not the best but it's also not great on the Q3 but is better, I think we are a few models off that tech before the cameras required are affordable for mainstream. Having the option of magnetic blackout should be added to all VR headsets it really is a pleasant experience without the blackout when working with the headset, but switch on to bigscreen and attach the magnetic blackout and you in your own cinema. Comfort I found OK out of the box, there is zero pressure on your face due to design which I find more comfortable then the standard pressure around my eyes and cheaks, but bear in mind it puts a lot of pressure on your forehead. I find this headset comfortable with zero face pressure but pressure on the forehead gets to much after 45 minutes and need to take a break, so rate it 6/10 out of the box. Purchase a third party, global cluster comfort kit and it transforms the headset completely making it super comfortable to wear for hours and I would rate 8.5 /10. Build quality is excellent and eye tracking should be a standard that all VR headsets have its excellent on the Q Pro. Pro controllers make a difference, tracking and feedback are better then the Q3 which is expected at the cost but not hugely, rechargeable battery life is excellent. PCVR is excellent both wireless and wired, Q Pro colours and local dimming make the games look stunning and I would say it has the best lenses on any headset making it easy to find that sweet spot and visuals cristal clear.

Great product apart from the charging dock. The colour pass through is good enough to walk around your house with the headset on with care! With virtual desk top installed you can see a PC monitor in front of your vision and still be aware of the external environment. The way the software and cameras map you environment is very impressive. I have found it more comfortable to wear than a Q2 and the controllers are higher end than the q2 with there own cameras for tracking. It also features facial and eye tracking which are copied to your avatar if you are in a metaverse game like horizon worlds, vr chat or resonite. The real reason I bought the quest pro was because it was better than the low end quest 3, and when i bought mine they were being sold cheaper than the high end quest 3 with ( 512 mb version with an elite strap ). The charging dock sucks because you have to spend time positioning the controllers and headset on to it in a special way that is fiddly in order to charge the headset and controllers. You also get light leakage at the bottom which can break immersion.
